MATTHEW HARK
PHOTOGRAPHY
Matthew James Hark, born 1998 in the West Midlands, is a documentary photographer determined to record the social and political events that the UK is currently confronting during these turbulent and uncertain times, in the wake of Brexit, extreme weather conditions, and the breakout of a pandemic. Matthew Hark studied at New College Telford and is studying at the University of Wolverhampton. His practice to date has focused on the candidness of street photography and the abrupt and indiscriminate quality of life, by focusing on the position of Britain, Hark engages with the identities of individuals by collecting a portfolio of appearances, exploring political and social impacts on the country.
